A developmental reading of a new play by Eliana Rubin

At Overland Park High, Iris is a crossword puzzle superstar–but her dreams of winning the televised annual crossword competition are crushed when she’s forced to compete in the boys’ division. Which is like, what? Why are we gender segregating crossword puzzles? This quick-witted satire takes an absurd and hilarious look at what happens when trans people have their autonomy ripped away from them, and how they try to persevere.
