Kitchen Sink Theatre Company Presents
Ever, Oscar

A Staged Reading, Written & Directed by Maeve Aurora Chapman

Join us in hearing Maeve Chapman's Ever Oscar for the first time on January at 942 Bergen Street, Brooklyn, NY, USA.

We will be selling wine for $5 a glass at the show! Doors open at 6:45pm.

Ever, Oscar uses his fairytale, The Happy Prince as a narrative parallel as young writer Oscar Fingal O'Flahertie Wills Wilde, son of revolutionary poet Jane Wilde or 'Speranza', navigates his queer identity, his love for his family, and the ultimate betrayal by his partner Bosie which lands Wilde in prison, ultimately leading to his untimely death. Wilde lived a revolutionary and truly tragic life that is told through text, dance, and songs made from his poetry. Ever, Oscar is Tim Burton meets Neil Gaimon who grabs a drink with Once (the musical, not the ABC tv show, though kind of that too).

KSTC wants to meet you! Join us after the reading to network with fellow theatre-makers.
